What was the motivation behind your Start-up and what is your start-up all about?
While working for Pricewater house Coopers most of my assignments as a strategy consultant I had a chance to interact with top management, where I gained a lot of confidence in solving real-time problems that made me think if I can help why can’t I start one …in the process got into many start-ups
Emsquare – We do 360 * advertising (Traditional & digital both), we are a registered agency with 50+ companies (such as Danube, Reliance, Future Group, HDFC, ICICI, Kotak, Pirelli, Landmark group, etc.)
Ulavacharu Biryani House – We serve one of the best-flavored biryanis in Hyderabad i.e., Ulavacharu biryani, in a short time we were listed in most of the best biryani joints by Hyderabad magazine. We have 2 outlets.
What are the challenges that you have faced during the Covid-19 pandemic?
One is to win employee trust, as I always believe people are your biggest strength, during covid had to make my employees believe that we will bounce back & especially dealing with staff of my hotel (as most of them come from the same village) so to win their trust that I will be with them is tough luckily all are still with me.
What were the financial challenges that you faced for the start-up at the outset?
In handling big projects, we need to put in huge capital & the fear of failure of such projects will always concern you. So, managing capital concerning project investment was a big challenge.
How do you see your digital presence growing, keeping in mind the current scenario?
We are placed well concerning competition, but yes, it’s a continuous process & we still need to grow. Post covid digital presence has gained a lot of weight, even most of our clients have migrated their marketing budgets to digital platforms.
What is your advice for emerging young entrepreneurs?
The biggest challenge is most of us during the age of 18-22,25 as an entrepreneur only thinks about ideation, I strongly believe more than the idea we need to work on a clear-cut execution plan may be on a pilot basis first then slowly scale up. Be brave & happy as you are already thinking differently from the flock.
